Travelling Overseas

What you need to know before you go.

Travel Vaccination Service.

The following vaccinations are available for travel on the NHS :

  • Diphtheria

  • Tetanus

  • Poliomyelitis

  • Typhoid

  • Hepatitis A

Please find our Travel Vaccination Form linked below. You can complete the form online and submit it directly to us, or print it out and drop it off at the surgery. If neither option is suitable, paper copies are available to collect from the surgery.

A separate form must be completed for each patient who is travelling.

Once we receive your completed form, we will then schedule a travel clinic appointment.

Start preparing for your trip at least eight weeks before you go.

A majority of the requested vaccines have to be pre-ordered in advance, which is why we ask you to prepare at least eight weeks before you go. This gives us time to order the required vaccines, organise a 2nd appointment with you to receive the vaccines, and then some extra time for the vaccine to work. Your second appointment to receive the vaccine needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel.

Please note, we can only administer vaccines that are advised by our nursing team. This will all be discussed in your appointment, as the team will need to discuss your travel arrangements including which countries and areas within those countries that you plan on travelling to.
